Now that hopefully you have gotten the chance to get to the website, hopefully now you have a better idea about what
your rate really should be. I hope you factored time for yourself and your family into the equation. If so by now you are
probably a little doubtful about if whether you’ll ever be paid the way you really need to. I want you to take heart.
If the market is down at the time you are reading this do your best to use the supply strategies to stay afloat, I want you
to be strong, remember I did it, you can too. When the market is right, you too will get your rate. Remember all I’ve
shown you here and rehearse these things daily. When that time comes I want you to be ready.
If
it becomes necessary get yourself ready to run your own authority if it’s possible, if not use the other techniques
I’ve share with you here to take the next step for you whatever that is. In my line of thinking many of you have a $50,000
to $100,000 investment in equipment, and you’re making the ultimate sacrifice of time and service, you should be paid
more than minimum wage. In fact you should be paid more than the company driver if you’re and Owner Operator. Why even
become an Owner Operator if you can’t make more. Don’t entertain the illusion that Owner Operators have more freedom,
that’s what the big companies want you to believe; they give you freedoms and make you give up those freedoms by locking
you into an income that forces you to run just about anything to keep the business afloat. Then you’re working out of
sheer desperation, and usually, just miserable. Now you tell me, where in all the world of business can you make a $100,000
investment, and be expected, I say again “Expected” to live on minimum wage?
Maybe
there are a few rare exceptions to this rule, because some Truckers don’t have a higher expense, but believe me, “that
usually can’t last forever”, some where along the line that old truck is going to start costing more than its
worth, and the time will come when it just make sense to get a new enough truck to not have to worry as much about repairs.
I could go on and on, I get mad every time I think of how unjust this industry is, but I get even more upset when I think
about why it is that way.
So great is such a little thing as "Change"
Now I’m going to say this about that and I’m done;
all Trucker know the whole system of profiting off the backs of Truckers lies square on the shoulders of……………….
You guest it; “The Truckers” Everybody else is making all kinds of money, building homes that defy the size and
scope of the Truckers imagination, driving vehicles for leisure that are larger than the equipment you operate! Then
Truckers
bitch, gripe, and moan, til the cows come home, but for the most of them, if presented with a way to overcome the system individually,
hands down, most of them will reject it. Most of these guys have reduced themselves to complaining about all the wrong
things. The big companies and brokers love these guys, they’ll gripe about stuff like sitting, waiting, paperwork, oh,
and the biggie, getting home on time. It can get pretty pathetic. If you’re and Owner Operator you may as well get to
the root of the problem, “you own all this equipment and, you’re not making it, or you’re just barely getting
by. What’s really eating at you is the money issue or the lack thereof. You’ve been made to feel that all the
Truckers have to band together to make the change, and you don’t ever see that happening.
And
until now, maybe you haven’t been presented with the real truth about how “you” “individually”
can change, and make a difference, and win for “yourself”. That’s why this book was written, and hopefully
that’s why you personally are reading it, because deep down inside you know their has got to be a way and you’ve
come to a point where hopefully nothing else matters but that you can look back in your life and truly say “I did what
it took to win”, and if you do, you will win, and win big.
